Sorry, Darlin. is proud to be a part of…
Hey everyone! Come out this SUNDAY NIGHT to MJQ and dance your weekend away! Sunday Parties always feel a little rebellious, like I should be catching up on sleep or preparing for the week ahead instead of staying out to 4am. So come say FYOU to Monday morning with all the Sorry, Darlin Girls, eat some yummy cupcakes, get yo pretty little picture taken to be put in our first photo gallery and have fun. Sunday is the new Saturday, duhhh. Plus stay tuned for our very own party announcement shortly! -Sarah
Julian Casablancas from the Strokes announces his solo debut!!
In 2002, my best friend’s hippy-dad gave Lindsay and I The Strokes debut album, ”Is This It?” Instantly we swooned over their good looks, their passion, and their simple yet profound lyrics. I feel like they were never given their ultimate appreciation, unfortunately. I’ve read many-an-interview on Casablancas’ struggles with appreciation in the past.
So somehow, in 2009, in an age of experimental-electronics/electro-house/atl-punk/atl-powerpop/ (whatever you wanna call it) taking over… I still somehow can’t let go of my love for the Strokes. When I found out about his solo career, it was Harry Potter-exciting to me!
I feel like “This is it.” Expect great things from this man. Seriously.
PS-
I’m ’bout to get ‘vulnerable’, ya’ll… (my specialty)… “isthissoma” my alter-ego/artist nickname (l33t haha) is from a combination of two of the Strokes’ song titles from their first full-length album, “Is this it?”

…. & now the debut compilation of video/music/amazing-ness that is Phrazes for the Young!
